Results: 2XU Race 1

Challenging conditions met the athletes on Sunday for the first local 2XU event.

The Elite Men’s race was almost a Junior Elite race with only a few Elite athletes toeing the start line. This presented as an opportunity for the junior athletes to cut their teeth at the front of the race. All in all a pretty pedestrian day for most, particularly on the bike. Jake Smith was best placed from our group with a 16:37 run and 2nd in the Junior Elite race.

Mia Foster had a strong day in the Female Elite category with a 3rd. Madigan Carroll crossed the line in second in the Female Junior Elite category with a solid run finish. Lauren Hanna also picked up 4th in the Junior Elite after coming out of the water just behind the leader.

All in all a solid day to kick off the local season, congratulations all!
